I have been away for a bit trying to ensure that the Dark Legacy game gets out as soon as possible. I have been hitting some speed bumps along the way, but I think that I am coming to the end of that road and the game is going to be released at the New York Comic Con on October 11th.
Now that that is over my wife told me that I have neglected my blog for long enough. She told me that she is going to give me a throwback of the week to make sure that I have something to post every week. That was too weeks ago. The first week was the Jetsons and well the quality control of my wife didn't like what I drew. She said it wasn't up to my standards and it didn't count.
Here we are on the second week and she gave me a character that I didn't even know. I was given Chilly Willy. I needed to do some research before I was able even start drawing. This is what I came up with.
This drawing was done on 9x12 with Micron pens and Prisma Color Markers. It took about two hours to do. I like the way it came out. Nothing to exciting. I took the main image from the show and re-drew it. It was a nice warm up for my studio night on Friday.
I am also getting ready for the New York Comic Con and it seems like there is a really big market for Sketch Covers. I have to admit that I don't really like doing them because they are not of a good enough quality paper. It doesn't allow me to do the streak free markering that I like doing. So I can't really do markers on it. But, what I can do is this.
Last Friday I started writing the graphic novel for Dark Legacy. I will be be posting pages as soon as I get them done. I should have a lot of art within the next couple of weeks. This blog is going to be updated a lot, so be sure to keep coming back.
I would love to hear what you have to say about any of my art. Thank you very much
Kaiser.
